Are you living your dream or dreaming your life? While Law of Attraction proponents would say that dreaming your life will create it, you might spend a lot of time dreaming — visualizing and combining thought and feeling — and never actually living your life — taking action and doing what you want to do.
I watched my son on stage today dancing in the final performance of a six week summer ballet intensive. He, and all the other students, were living their dream. They had come to New York City to pursue dance at arguably the best dance schools in the country, American Ballet Theatre. Â And then they got to perform, another dream for most of them. But they didn’t just dream, they took action and made the dream come true. The final fruition of that dream may not come until for a few more years when they become professional dancers, but they took the first step when they walked into a dance class or asked a parent to enroll them in a class. They made the first move towards this summer intensive when they stepped into the audition.
I’ve been dreaming about a few things related to getting my work published for quite a while, But I’m tired of just dreaming. I want to start living those dream. For this reason I plan on taking some solid action in the next few weeks. In fact, I’ve already taken action; I just need to follow through on the opportunities that have presented themselves since then. That action step might actually lead to the manifestation of my dreams. (That’s really how the Law of Attraction works: Combine thought, feeling and action. Well, there are a few more steps, but I’m not going to get into them here. If you want to know about them, read some of my posts about the Kabbalah of Conscious Creation or purchase The Kabbalah of Conscious Creation booklet.)
What are you dreaming about rather than living? What will you do, what action will you take, to bring your dreams into your life so you can live them rather than dream about them? What action will you take in conjunction with visualizing what you want to create and imagining what it would feel like to have manifested it already?
Think about it…And then stop dreaming your life and start living your dream.
Great post. Many people let their fears get in the way of them pursuing their dreams. (I was there once too). And I think that that’s why it’s wonderful that LOA was re-introduced to the world through The Secret. Even though LOA has been around since the beginning of time, it gives people a reminder that they STILL can be what the’ve always desired to be, that it’s never too late, and their life can still be great, IF THEY THINK IT WILL!!
Great post. We all spend way too much time dreaming about our lives and far too little actually building and enjoying our lives. Focused action can be the springboard that propels you to success. Keep reaching for your dreams.
Peace,
Bob
