When I write about conscious creation in my booklet, The Kabbalah of Conscious Creation, How to Mystically Manifest Your Physical and Spiritual Desires, I talk about the fact that we have to want a new desire – the desire for a new consciousness that wants to receive (or manifest) not for the self alone but for the sake of giving unconditionally to others. In fact, when I manage to write the full-length version of this book, it will be focused on the giving and receiving principles and how this plays into the whole way in which the Law of Attraction, or conscious creation, actually works.
Rabbi Yehuda Ashlag taught that we should become beings of sharing who behave in a God-like manner. We should be givers, like God, rather than just receivers of God’s goodness. I see how this helps us attract or create what we desire, because when we begin to share…indeed, when we create out of a desire to share what we manifest, we tap into the Divine flow of abundance. We become part of the flow of giving and receiving, and manifestation happens quite easily.
So, what if we want to manifest change – change within ourselves or change in the world in which we live? If we come from a place of sharing, from a consciousness of wanting to share whatever we have to share – talents, gifts, time, energy, money, then we will tap into that flow of Divine goodness and find that we can manifest change as easily as we can manifest a “thing” like a hat or a car or a job. If we want to change so that we can help create more change, so that we can share our new-found ability to create change…that’s powerful.
I’ve been working with this principle for a while. I believe that adding the principle of sharing, or giving, to the Law of Attraction – along with coming from your soul’s purpose, focusing thought, combining it with the feeling of having what you desire, and taking inspired action – makes the conscious creation process work. So, every day I look for opportunities to share. I give the change in my pocket to whomever asks for change. I try to give a little bit of time to someone on the phone, even it’s just my mother, who lives alone. I try to share my knowledge or wisdom with others through my writing. In my own little way, I try to share. And I share in bigger ways when I can.
Sometimes you have to seek out ways to share. Look for ways to give…you’ll find them. Share yourself if you can’t share anything else. Sometimes that’s the hardest thing to share.
I haven’t always liked to share. I hate sharing my food, for instance, even with my children. I make myself do it.
Sharing isn’t as easy as you think. Share the things that feel the hardest to give away. That’s when the process really begins to work. However, the more you share, the easier it gets.
And the more you give, the more connected you’ll feel to the Divine Creator. Why, because, as Rabbi Ashlag says, you’ll achieve “affinity of form” with God. You’ll become a giver just like God. You’ll achieve Unity with the One. And what do we know about God besides that God is a giver, according to the Kabbalists? We know God is creative in nature. If we are created in God’s image, and we achieve affinity of form with God when we give, we must truly become creators. And if we focus our thoughts and become aware of what we want to create, we become conscious, deliberate creators totally taped into the Divine flow of abundance and creativity.
That’s a good enough reason to share in and of itself. Even better is the Unity with the Ultimate Creator…and the peace and joy that comes with it. And then there’s the difference you can make in the world by sharing.
For a long time I was really focused on how my work would bring me money. Parts of my business are still about money, but I try to remember that I provide a service. I share something in the process of earning money – my expertise. I try to give a little away to each client. And as for my books and personal writing, I’d still like to make money with these projects, I’ll admit, but I see this more as my way of giving to the world, of making a difference, of creating change. I keep pushing forward with a bigger goal in mind and my soul’s purpose pushing me all the time. And I believe that attitude will help me manifest my desires.
Try sharing. Give a little. Give a lot. See if it helps your manifestation process. And let me know how it goes.
One caution: Don’t give to get. That never works. Genuinely give from your heart simple because you want to give.
