Your soul is wise and wants to share that wisdom with you. Unfortunately, too often, you aren’t receptive to or aware of its messages. To live in a soul-guided manner, it’s essential to learn how to receive “soul notes.”
What are soul notes? They are bits of wisdom or guidance from your spiritual self that your human self receives in written form.
My Soul Notes
Almost a year ago, I changed the Sunday email I send weekly to what I call a “soul note.”
At the time, I was listening to an audiobook by Mike Dooley, who became known for his “Notes from the Universe.” I heard something different as I listened to his words through my headset.
“Nina, write soul notes. You’re all about living a life that feeds your soul, and you should be sending out soul notes.”
I didn’t know what a soul note was, but I felt inspired to write or receive one. I knew sharing my soul’s wisdom was something I needed to do.
How I Create Soul Notes
So, I created a little template in Canva. Then I sat quietly and asked myself, “What would my soul like to share today?” Immediately, words flowed into my mind and into my template.
Then, I added this piece of art or quote card to my Sunday email and shared my thoughts on the soul note.
A soul note often involves me and what’s happening in my life, so I shared that, too. Finally, I began sharing the images and content from the email on social media and sending them to my subscribers. Of course, I also invited people to subscribe and get a soul note weekly in their email box.
Who Writes the Soul Notes?
You might wonder if these soul notes are written by me but described as spiritual messages from my soul. I believe they are something else.
I often receive messages from my soul. They come as thoughts or words I become conscious of hearing.
When I write a soul note, I write or type. But the nugget of wisdom isn’t mine. I receive it as thoughts or words in my mind. You could say they are channeled or downloaded. This process isn’t much different than automatic writing or guided writing.
I ask what to write, and I’m given the content for each note. I then pass it along.
As I said, the notes often relate to my life. That makes sense because my soul is talking to me. Yet, many people share the same experiences and circumstances. We are not that different, so they apply to anybody.
I edit them to make them more concise. Often, I feel guided to choose a different word or rewrite it.
From My Soul to Yours
I often say these notes are from my soul to yours. Actually, your soul knows everything I share and more.
However, if you read one of my soul notes and find it inspires or motivates you, that’s your soul’s response to that specific message. It is saying to you, “Yes! Pay attention!”
I receive emails almost every week from people telling me, “Oh, that note was just what I needed to hear today,” “That was so inspiring,” or, “Today’s soul note was so powerful.”
Their souls resonate with the message and communicate through those feelings or thoughts. They say, “Yes! You need to pay attention to this soul note from Nina. It’s the truth and important for you to hear, read, and understand.” That type of emotional response—excitement, inspiration, or motivation—indicates that your soul agrees with whatever my soul has shared in a specific note.
Your Soul Talks to You
Of course, your soul is always talking to you. Always.
You just have to pay attention because your soul typically sounds like you. It’s the still, small voice. It’s your knowing. Think of it as your inner GPS. But it’s easy to ignore or to believe it’s “just a thought.” Sometimes your soul’s messages feel like “rockets of desire,” as Abraham-Hicks would say. And your personal soul note makes you feel like taking action immediately.
Sometimes, the messages are more subtle. They might be found on a license plate, on the page of a book, or in someone’s words. Or it could be a slight flutter of the heart, seeing 11:11 (or a similar number), or the sense of your next best step forward.
Ask yourself: Are you paying any attention to the messages from your soul? Are you aware and conscious of the wisdom it shares?
If so, do you trust the guidance enough to take action?
You are Part of the Divine Mind
You’re part of the Divine Mind. You might call this Creator, God, Source, or the Universe. Whatever the name you use, you are constantly tapped into that. In fact, you exist within the Divine Mind all the time.
Therefore, it makes sense that what you hear in your head or feel in your body—when it isn’t negative self-talk, worry, or fear—is your soul talking to you. It’s the spiritual part of you—your soul (or you might call it spirit)—offering you “notes.”
How to Receive Your Own Soul Notes
You might be wondering how to receive more definitive soul messages, like in the form of a soul note. The process is simple and easy.
First, find a quiet place to get centered and still your mind as much as possible.
Second, ask your soul one or more of the following questions:
- What can I know right now for my highest good?
- What does my soul want to tell me at this moment?
- What can I know?
- What do I need to know right now for my highest good?
Or, you can say, “I would like to receive guidance from my soul and information about what I can know now for my highest good.”
Third, write (or type) whatever comes to you. Don’t question it. Just accept and trust that it is your soul’s message.
Voilà! You have your first soul note.
Don’t Question the Wisdom!
At first, you may question what you’ve written, wondering if the information came from your soul. Remember, your soul is the spiritual part of you.
You have a choice: Believe you’ve received a message from your soul, or believe your human mind made it up. I’m sure you realize which option is the better one.
But whatever you choose to believe, you will get some powerful messages.
