Are you in a rut? Do you always do the same things, go to the same places, and eat the same foods? How’s that working for you? Does it keep you excited about life, inspired, and full of new ideas?
I doubt it.
I’m no different than you—a creature of habit. I like to go to the same restaurants and order the same dishes I’ve eaten before. I tend to walk and cycle in the same places. And I get a bit nervous when I have to travel to new countries or cities, so sometimes I opt to just stay home.
That doesn’t mean that doing the same ol’ same ol’ is good for me. It’s not. And it’s not good for you either.
The world has so many exciting and interesting things to do and see! Go out. Experience life in all its splendor. Live your life fully.
When you get out and do or experience something new, you feel different. You grow and change. That’s why young people who go off to Europe (if they live in the U.S.) come home with expanded views of the world and of themselves.
Plus, “seeing the world” inspires you. It provides you with experiences that fuel your imagination, which means you get ideas! Your creativity gets sparked.
And you never know who you will meet when you go exploring. You could make a new friend, be exposed to someone who teach you about a different way of living or fall in love. You just never know.
So this week, go exploring. Try something new. Go somewhere different—even if that place is just a few miles away. Live more fully.
Let me know in a comment about your adventure and how it changed your perspective, energy, emotions, or creativity level.
