The Write Your Transformational Book Challenge 2018
Bonus Week
The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.
-Oprah Winfrey
Congratulations! You made it to the end of the Write Your Transformational Book Challenge. You not only survived but thrived during 90 days of writing your book. You have a manuscript and new skills and habits to show for your time and effort. Hopefully, you also feel a new sense of passion, purpose and inspiration for your project as well as for writing in general.
This final tip is one to put to use daily: offer up praise for every tiny step forward you make and every bit of inspiration and creativity that moves through you. Celebrate your successes - large and small - in every moment and every day.
I once had a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator for two years. I was going to drink it when I landed an agent. Then I was going to drink it when I got the book deal, then when I actually signed the contract, got the advance, turned in the manuscript, got the rest of the advance, released the book . . . Somehow I just kept putting it off and didn’t have one sip even after my second book deal came through! I never celebrated one of those events.
Don’t do that!
Celebrate! Celebrate in whatever way you enjoy, whether it is by having lunch with your girlfriends, going shopping, walking on the beach, soaking in the tub with a good book, or going out dancing. But do, indeed, celebrate.
Here’s to you for a job well done! I celebrate you and praise you for all you accomplished in the last 90 days.
