Have you ever felt too afraid to speak to someone? Your mind and heart were filled with words (and feelings), but you couldn’t bring yourself to share them. You worried that communicating could result in a negative outcome of some sort. And, maybe worse, you might end up feeling judged, rejected, wrong, or hurt. Opening your mouth and speaking felt too hard.
Honest communication, especially in difficult situations, makes most of us feel vulnerable. However, once you’ve spoken, you will feel the opposite: strong and powerful. You’ll also feel less stressed and gain a sense of freedom from your fear.
When you keep your words inside, it’s as if they haunt and taunt you. They roll around in your head constantly, and they generate negative emotions. As soon as you speak them, you release all that energy and focus on what you wanted to say. You speak, and you are free.
Today, honor your desire to speak from your heart. Give yourself permission to say what you need to say—even if the outcome isn’t what you desire. Realize that by allowing yourself to give voice to your thoughts and feelings, you honor yourself and empower yourself. You make yourself a priority.
Make a list of people with whom you feel you need to speak. Maybe you need to clear a past hurt, share how you feel, ask for something you want, or express your pain or worry. Then, speak to them—without anger, resentment or blame.
After you speak from your heart, let me know how you feel or what positive outcome you achieved by doing so.

I did what you suggested even before I listened to this. I do not have a response from my friend yet. What is comforting is in listening to your Monday inspiration I no longer feel the angst I always felt before. When the words roll and roll and don’t go away until you do speak to that person it is compelling. I now know it is not me being intrusive what a relief. I know the need to say what’s in my heart is inspired but I mostly got in the way and dismissed it. Today I moved forward and was rewarded with your teaching immediately after. What a blessing. Thank you
Isn’t it wonderful how synchronicity is all around us…especially when we open to it? I hope you hear from your friend, and that your effort to speak from your heart pays off in many ways. Thanks for your comment, Lisa.
